Pre-Opening for Metropolitan’s Learning and Wellness Center Takes Place Aug. 30
WHO AND WHAT:
Parents from Libby Elementary School will be gathering for the pre-opening ceremony of the new Metropolitan Family Services Learning and Wellness Center.
The event celebrates the launch of early childhood education services at the Center, beginning with “Family and Friends Fridays,” provided for pregnant moms and parents with children 6 weeks to 5 years old. Held Friday mornings through October 2013, these Fridays will include reading circles, workshops and special projects for children and parents. Center programming will ultimately include full-day pre-K for 94 3-5-year-olds, full-day early learning and care for 28 0-2-year-olds, and home visiting programs for 36 new families.

- Hip Hop Presentation
- Introduction of Learning Center Staff
- Q&A Held with Audience
- Balloon Launch
