Programa de educación de adultos

Assists adult learners in improving their reading, writing, mathematics, English language acquisition, digital literacy, and other skills. The Program aims to help students obtain the literacy skills needed to successfully navigate the workforce, training programs, and post-secondary education, leading to self-sufficiency and productive lives.

Clubhouse Tech Center

Clubhouse Tech Center is a safe space where young people develop projects related to their own interests, increase technological fluency, and gain confidence in the use of technology. The Center’s programming improves STEAM’s (science, technology, engineering art and math) accessibility for underrepresented groups (youth of color, economically disadvantaged youth and girls).

Programa contra la violencia doméstica

Provides a safe space for survivors to receive support services to free themselves from abuse, regain confidence, build relationship skills, and find healing. Included are case management, counseling and court advocacy, as well as services for children of domestic violence survivors. Families participate in education and support groups and receive individualized services according to their needs.

Feature Head Start and Early Head Start programming, which provide the highest quality of care and services to children and families. Comprehensive programming for children I s provided, including play-based education, health and safety, mental health, nutrition, disabilities, and parent involvement.

Despensa de alimentos

Operates twice weekly and is a client choice pantry. Client Choice gives the client control over what foods they will take home to their families. This format provides opportunities to interact more with clients and to talk to them about their food and health needs, while also reducing food waste. Clients must live within zip codes 60626, 60645, 60659, 60660 and 60202

HACC Promise Scholar Program (PSP)

Offers promising, first-generation college-bound young people of limited means the opportunity to attend college. PSP provides students with up to $10,000 in financial assistance per academic year (up to four years.)

Howard Afterschool Reading Program (HARP)

Serves 2nd through 4th graders at-risk for reading at Oakton Elementary School in Evanston, IL. HARP tutors provide one-on-one tutoring and are matched with a single child, with whom they work throughout the school year. The literacy model is based on National Louis University’s Howard Street Tutoring Program.

Programa de reinserción y empleo

Includes the Reentry Support Services Program and Employment Resource Center, helps adults who are re-entering society from prison prepare for, find and secure jobs, and provides a variety of related supports and services.
