Upward Bound’s first-ever Virtual College Tour brings colleges to our students
The college-bound youth in our Calumet Center’s Upward Bound program aren’t able to see potential colleges in person this year, so our staff brought the college visit to them!
During our first-ever Virtual College Tour, representatives from four HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) – Jackson State University, University of Arkansas – Little Rock, Dillard University, and Xavier University – spoke with our youth over Zoom. Each school’s representative shared information and answered questions from the students, on everything from Covid-19 precautions to special programs offered to the quality of the schools’ marching bands.
