Midway and Calumet Staff celebrate retired Commander Kenneth Johnson
It was a joyful yet tearful occasion for 007th District Police Station on the retirement of their beloved Commander Kenneth A. Johnson hanging up his badge after dedicating over 31 years of service to the Chicago Police Department.
Metropolitan’s Healthy Minds – Healthy Children – Healthy Chicago (H3) program team, alongside staff from our Calumet Center’s Financial Opportunity Center, joined the recent farewell and retirement celebration at Kennedy-King College.
The H3 program, in partnership with the University of Illinois Mile Square Health Center Englewood, presented Commander Johnson with the following sentiments:
“Thank you Commander Johnson for your service to the Greater Englewood Community these past few years. Your commitment and dedication to the Stakeholders of Greater Englewood have been insurmountable of a job well done. May you enjoy the next phase of your life: RETIRE-MINT! By the way, you will always be a star in our book.”
