Kindergarten Expo educates early learning parents at our Learning & Wellness Center
Our Midway Center’s Learning & Wellness Center recently held its first Kindergarten Expo! Our staff invited schools in the area to share information and resources with our Early Learning parents, and we had a great turnout.
This year, the Learning & Wellness Center has 33 children transitioning to Kindergarten. About 20 parents stopped by to speak with the schools and learn about the various options available for their children.
- CICS Basil-ReGeneration Schools
- KIPP: Bloom Primary Englewood
- Namaste Charter
- Catalyst Maria Charter
- Arthur A. Libby Elementary
Staff from the Legal Aid Society, as well as from our domestic violence and H3 (Healthy Minds, Healthy Children, Healthy Chicago) programs, were also available to speak with parents about the services Metropolitan offers.
Special thank you to one of our parents, Glenn Willoughby, who brought in free books for all the children during the event!
