Family Fun in Store at 9th Annual “Make a Child Smile”
Fun for the whole family is in store at “Make a Child Smile,” a premier summer event for families that includes fun, food, activities and entertainment for all ages, taking place Monday, June 21, 2010 from 5:30 p.m. – 9 p.m. outside John’s Place Restaurant, 1200 W. Webster (on Racine, between Belden and Webster), in Chicago’s Lincoln Park.
More than 600 youth and their families are expected to attend this FUNdraising event, now in its 9th year and featuring a new twist – teen and adult music bands! Attendees also will enjoy an inflatable obstacle course, arts and crafts activities, face-painting, food and beverages and the return of the ever-popular Jesse White Tumblers!
Proceeds from Make a Child Smile provide at-risk children from low-income families with the special attention they need to form strong and healthy relationships with their parents and ensure their growth, development and success in school. These services for at-risk children and their families are provided by Metropolitan Family Services.
