Apoyo y preservación de la adopción y la tutela

Ofrece intervención a domicilio a familias formadas mediante adopción o tutela subvencionada. El asesoramiento, la intervención en situaciones de crisis y la asistencia de guardia las 24 horas del día ayudan a abordar la adaptación, la resolución del duelo/pérdida, el apego y los problemas educativos y emocionales. Este programa apoyado por el DCFS también ofrece servicios de respiro terapéutico, grupos psicoeducativos y de apoyo, talleres y ayuda para conseguir recursos.

Salud mental conductual

Offers recovery-based individual and group therapy services, case management, crisis intervention, community support and psychiatry. MFS Behavioral Mental Health services promote psychological, social and emotional development which helps to achieve and maintain recovery. MFS offers Behavioral Health Programs to children, adolescents and adults.

Red de Vecindarios Blue Island Robbins (BIRNN)

The BIRNN is a collaborative initiative that responds to community need in the Blue Island/Robbins community by creating more expansive, stable and interconnected delivery of social services. United Way of Metro Chicago is a co-coordinator among network partners providing neighborhood-specific solutions to community challenges.

Acuerdo de Vida Integrada en la Comunidad (CILA)

Ofrece un entorno de vivienda compartida con apoyo para adultos con enfermedades mentales, con personal in situ las 24 horas del día. Crisis Intervention Services

The MFS Southwest Crisis Intervention Team provides 24/7/365 rapid response to assess anyone within the community experiencing a potential mental health crisis, regardless of payor status. Mobile Crisis Response and stabilization services are provided in the community where the individual is located at the time of crisis and the team determines what level of care is most appropriate to keep the individual and community safe.

Programa de defensa contra la violencia doméstica

Provides office-based services to survivors/victims of intimate partner abuse. Services may include brief in-person domestic violence case management, adult educational domestic violence groups, safety planning, crisis intervention, advocacy services, community outreach, referral and linkages. MFS provides workshops and presentations in the community to increase awareness of domestic violence services and available resources. Services are free, confidential and provided in both English and Spanish.

MFS Asociación enfermera-familia

Empowers vulnerable first-time mothers through regular home visits and support that is provided from specially trained nurses during their pregnancy through the child’s second birthday. The expectant mothers benefit by getting the care and support needed to have a healthy pregnancy. Throughout the partnership, the home visit nurse provides new moms with the confidence and tools needed to assure a healthy start for their babies. Participating moms are able to envision a life of stability and opportunities for success of both mom and child.

Caminos hacia el éxito

The Pathways to Success initiative enhances access to critical behavioral, medical and social services for children with complex behavioral health challenges in Illinois. As a Care Coordination and Service Organization (CCSO) agency, MFS is responsible for the coordination of care of multiple stakeholders involved in a child’s or adolescent’s treatment to ensure healthy and safe outcomes.

The Southwest Empowerment Team (SWEP)

Provides case management, supportive services and various life-skills groups to youth and adults impacted by community violence and justice involvement. MFS in partnership with Ceasefire Roseland engages clients in group services focused on anger management, life skills development and the impact of trauma on individuals and communities.

Red de seguridad del Suroeste

A safe, confidential and non-judgmental environment that serves as an alternative to seeking emergency room services for individuals in crisis. Upon arrival, individuals are paired with Behavioral Health staff to assist in managing their crisis and attaining stabilization. The objective is to provide an empathetic, supportive and comfortable environment, deferring individuals in crisis from the emergency room.

Provides valuable workforce development services for individuals ages 16 and up living in the South Suburban Cook Region. Individuals receive the foundational skills needed to obtain and retain employment while being supported by MFS staff.
