2019 Equal Access to Justice Award Luncheon Recognizes Pro Bono Excellence
McDonald’s Corporation’s Jerry Krulewitch Among Honorees

CHICAGO (October 21, 2019) – The Legal Aid Society of Metropolitan Family Services’ annual Equal Access to Justice Award Luncheon raised more than $344,000 as 320 leaders from Chicago’s legal community gathered to honor outstanding contributions to pro bono law at the event on Oct. 16, 2019, held at the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago.

Jerry Krulewitch, Executive Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary at McDonald’s Corporation, received the William H. Avery Award for Equal Access to Justice for contributions to pro bono law. In addition, Aon and Malou Roth of People First were honored for leadership in corporate and individual pro bono law respectively.

The Legal Aid Society’s Equal Access to Justice luncheon supports critical legal services for low-income families in the Chicago area, and recognizes the outstanding pro bono work supporting those services.
